LinkedIn & Personal Branding Watch

LinkedIn has introduced Collaborative Posts globally: members and Company Pages can publish jointly with up to five other members or Pages. The format supports text, video, images, third-party links, documents, polls, events and celebration posts. LinkedIn’s Help guidance says the feature is rolling out gradually, so it may not yet be available on every account.

What this means for your MSP: use one shared post for a client result, partner webinar or security project instead of publishing separate, competing updates. Make the co-author a credible client, partner or technical lead, and use the post to put a real point of view in front of both audiences; if the option is not visible yet, prepare the content and check again rather than forcing a workaround!

Local SEO & AI Search Visibility

Google Search Console’s AI performance report and generative-AI controls have now rolled out globally. The report shows impressions, pages, countries, devices and dates for appearances in AI responses, AI Mode and AI Overviews, but it does not include click data; Google’s documentation says the control was rolled out to all websites worldwide as of 31 August 2026.

What this means for your MSP: open the report and record a baseline for your three highest-value service or location pages. Use it to see which pages and markets are being surfaced, but do not mistake an impression for a lead; pair the visibility trend with enquiry and pipeline data before deciding what to rewrite.

MSP Positioning & Trust Trends

Kaseya’s 2026 State of the MSP Report, based on a survey of more than 1,000 MSPs, says customer acquisition is the biggest challenge for 71% of respondents. The share finding it harder to show value early in the sales process rose from 10% to 19% in 2026, and the report says prospects increasingly want verifiable proof of reduced risk, uptime and business impact rather than broad capability claims.

What this means for your MSP: move proof forward. Put one measurable client outcome, a short case study or an example of your reporting process on the homepage and in the first sales conversation; “we support your IT” is not enough unless a buyer can see what changed for a similar business.

Marketing Automation & AI Tool Tip

HubSpot’s September 2026 product release introduces Breeze Assistant, a self-updating Smart CRM. Its Prospecting Agent can monitor more than 40 buying signals and draft personalised outreach; HubSpot says customers using Breeze Assistant generate 2.2 times more leads, although that comparison is between Professional and Enterprise customers using AI with high-quality context and those not using AI.

What this means for your MSP: do not hand an AI agent your entire pipeline and let it improvise. Start with one narrow workflow: when a target-sector prospect engages with a high-intent service page, have the CRM assemble the relevant signals and draft an internal follow-up for a human to approve, then measure qualified meetings rather than activity volume.

Quick-Win Action

A Search Engine Land analysis tracked 51,200 potential AI Overview events across 1,661 cited snippets from September 2025 to June 2026. AI Overviews accounted for 7.53% of organic sessions across the period, but the more recent share was around 2–4%; the analysis also found an average 22.4% of AI Overview events were attributed to Direct, with the authors warning that the tracking signal is imperfect because the same URL fragment can appear in Featured Snippets.

What this means for your MSP: choose three service or location pages and refresh them with a direct answer to a specific buyer question, a current proof point, a named service area and a visible review date. Then note their current Search Console AI visibility and GA4 Organic/Direct baseline so next month’s review measures change rather than relying on a single headline number.
