LinkedIn’s strongest format is still the useful document
Socialinsider’s 2026 LinkedIn benchmark analysed 1.3 million business posts across 16,645 LinkedIn pages. Native documents averaged 7.00% engagement, the strongest format in the benchmark. While Q2 2026 link posts averaged 3.30% & native document engagement went up 14% year on year.
What this means for your MSP: turn one real client lesson, a five-step checklist, a “what to do after a breach” flow, or a plain-English framework for choosing an MSP. Make the first page useful enough to save, and judge the post by saves, qualified comments and conversations, not reach alone.
Local search is becoming an answer-engine visibility problem
A July analysis from Search Engine Journal, citing Whitespark research, reports that Google AI Overviews appeared for 68% of local searches in its study, compared with 39% for normal search. To help with AI search there is some AI markup to add, however pages still need to be indexed and eligible for Search, while useful original content and an up to date Google Business Profiles remain important.

Buyers increasingly expect an MSP to own the compliance conversation
The 2026 CyberSmart MSP Survey, based on 350 MSP leaders across the UK and Ireland, found that more than two-thirds of MSPs say customers expect them to manage both IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, up from 60% in 2025. The same survey says 61% are expected to help with compliance, while 87% of customers are rated as having average or above-average cyber knowledge..
What this means for your MSP: “we keep your systems secure” is now a baseline claim, not a differentiator. Show how you help a specific type of client evidence compliance, manage risk and keep operations moving with a named process, reporting example or case result that a buyer can verify.
Automation tip: use your CRM’s conversion history to improve lead scoring
HubSpot’s July 2026 product update includes AI-Powered Lead Scoring Rule Discovery, which suggests scoring rules from a portal’s actual conversion history and supplies confidence levels and point values. It also adds a workflow action that can trigger a Breeze AI agent mid-automation, pass CRM data into it and route the output back into the record or a downstream step. Availability depends on the individual license within HubSpot!
What this means for your MSP: pilot one narrow workflow, not a fully autonomous sales machine. For example, when a prospect from your target vertical visits a high-intent service page, have the CRM produce an internal summary of fit, recent activity and likely need for a human to check before any follow-up is sent.
